I made a walk in closet for Barbie from a recycled box. It was a box that holds paper that you can find at any office that orders paper. It is a great height for the dolls and has a great top and handles.
I took the box and covered it in fabric glued down with Modge Podge. I lined the inside with wallpaper scraps and the flooring with a thick fabric as the carpet; also glued down with Modge Podge. I used adhesive hooks that can be found at Walmart and the Dollar Store to put on the walls to hang up clothing, jewelry and purses. I decorated with scrapbooking miscellaneous items that I had around the house. I used a small box as a counter and added flower adhesives that I had also used on the back wall of the box to tie it all together. I glued a small piece of green styrofoam on the box for the post earrings.
This will be a great place for my grandkids to keep their barbie clothes and their dolls are in a seperate container. It is also a great way to teach them life skills such as organizing with something they love to play with.
